Important Info & Policies


A deposit of 100% of the stay plus taxes and fees (USD) is due upon reservation for advanced purchase rate and/or discount rates at our Cape May hotel. Standard cancellation policy applies. 


A deposit of 50% of your stay plus taxes and fees (USD) is due upon reservation. The remaining balance, plus taxes and fees (USD) will be due upon check-in.* 


Deposits are refundable 31 or more days prior to set arrival date at the hotel, less a $50 service fee per room. Cancellations 30 or fewer days prior to arrival forfeit 50% of the full stay. 
Reservation date changes may only be made 31+ days prior to set arrival date. Reservation date changes 30 days or fewer prior to arrival will forfeit 50% of the full stay. 
No refunds or credits for early check-outs, inclement weather, or unused nights. 

Must be age 21 or older to rent a guest room. Misrepresentation of age may result in full forfeiture of the deposit upon check-in. Some group rates, holidays,s or event weekends may require 100% payment at the time of booking, in those instances deposits are non-refundable. 


Guests may check in between 2 pm and 8 pm Sun-Thurs, or any time after 2 pm on Friday or Saturday. If you require a later check-in, please alert our team in advance so we may make special arrangements to accommodate you. Guests arriving prior to 2 pm, may do a “soft check-in” to enjoy the beach until your room is ready. We’re sorry, but we are not able to accept any check-ins prior to 12 pm.  


Guests must check out of the hotel by 11 am on the morning of their departure. Late check-outs may be accommodated at an additional cost, based on availability. Please inquire with the front desk the morning of your check-out. 

Minimum Nights 

Memorial Day – Labor Day, Grand Victorian has a 2-night minimum length of stay on weekends. 

On holiday weekends, including MDW, 4th of July, & Labor Day, a longer 3-night minimum may apply. 

ICONA Smoking Policy 

Grand Victorian is a smoke-free property. No Smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted in Rooms, Public Interior of Hotel, Balconies, Front Porch, Front Steps, Courtyard, or Bike Rack Area – Under the New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act, any person found smoking at the hotel will be subject to a minimum fine of $250.00. 


At ICONA hotels, we aim to provide every guest first-class service. A resort fee helps us to maintain this level of service & amenities for all of our guests. A resort fee of 12% of the room rate, + state tax, will be assessed per stay. Some services that the resort fees allow for are:

  • Wifi available throughout the hotel

Pet Policy 

At ICONA Resorts we love pets; however, for the health, safety, and comfort of all guests, our resorts are unable to accommodate pets. 

Beach Badges & Room Keys 

Room keys must be returned at check-out. Beach badges must be returned by 5 pm on the day of your departure. The Grand Victorian allocates beach badges for the number of guests in your room, up to the room’s max occupancy. Ie: If your room can accommodate 4 guests, you will be assigned up to 4 badges. A fee of $110 per badge will be assessed for any badge that is lost or not returned by 5 pm on the day of check-out. Children under 10 years old do not require beach badges in Spring Lake.  


Adult bicycles are available on a first-come first-serve basis, for up to 4 hours per group, at the front desk each day from 6 am – return time of 7 pm. Guests must wear a helmet, sign a waiver, and sign the bikes in and out at the front desk. 

Guests bringing their own bicycles are encouraged to bring their own locks as we do not have additional locks on-site. Please Note: we are not responsible for anything lost or stolen from the property. 


There is a temporary unloading zone in front of the hotel where guests may park short-term to unload luggage. Guest parking is available on the street and our bell hop will be happy to assist guests with getting back to the hotel via our golf cart if parking is not available close to the hotel.  

During the day, guests may park anywhere on the street, free of charge.  

Overnight parking rules in Spring Lake require all cars to be in an angled spot, across the street from the hotel, facing the ocean. 

All visitors to Spring Lake in the summer months should be aware that Spring Lake has a year round ordinance that prohibits overnight parking in the Borough between the hours of 3-6 AM, except on the East side of Ocean Avenue in the diagonal parking spots.
